โAt EDIfly Solusi Indonesia, our journey began quietly but confidently in 2013 with a small implementation at PT JAS, the leading independent ground handling company in Indonesia. Not long after, we were entrusted with a major project at Garuda Indonesia, where we replaced a costly internal message switch running on an IBM mainframe.
From closing the tender to full cutover, it took us just one monthโthanks to the robustness of EDIfly technology and our teamโs deep expertise. Weโve always focused on delivering reliable, standards-based solutions with strong local support.
Since then, EDIfly Solusi Indonesia has become the messaging backbone for many of the countryโs key aviation and border stakeholders. Today, the majority of large airlines in Indonesia rely on us. All major ground handling networks, several airports, and even government agencies in immigration and customs have adopted our platform. Recently, weโve also integrated with several all-cargo airlines that donโt use legacy system at all.

EDIfly runs on any platform that supports Tomcat 7, 8, 8.5 or 9; to achieve the highest security standards we recommend version 8.5 or higher.
Which protocols and connectivity options are supported by EDIfly?
Type B, Type B:SDK, Type B:XML, Type B:JSON, Type X, XML, CGO:XML, AS4, EDIFACT MATIP/BATAP, MATIP TYPE A Host-to-Host, TCP/BATAP, MQ-SERIES, SMTP, FTP, FTPS, FILE EXCHANGE, WEB SERVICES, HTTP, HTTPS (refer to #34 below), ALCS, JMS, APP SOCKET, STOMP, POP3, JDBC
What kind of network and hardware configuration does EDIfly need?
The EDIfly server (i.e. the Tomcat instance) must be accessible from any IP address on the internet via HTTP on port 80 (or port 8080 if port 80 is not possible); this can be via a reverse proxy.
How does EDIfly send and receive messages?
EDIfly uses standard HTTP POST request to send the message. In case of problems (i.e., the server is not able to deliver the message within a user defined amount of time) the server will fallback (configurable) to send it via the SITA/COLLINS (ARINC) or a private link.
What high-availability operation options are available with EDIfly?
EDIfly supports a wide range of "clustering" options to address both scalability and failover. Multiple servers can be bundled into "clusters" serving the same addresses, and incoming messages can be load balanced between the different servers in the cluster and sending servers will automatically failover in case one of the servers is not responding.
